Frequently Asked Questions

Why change to cloth diapers from disposable?

Disposable diapers simply create far too much waste. We are committed to leading the way in sustainability and building a better planet for our little ones to inherit. Making the switch to cloth diapering is one small change that we hope will create a big impact.

Don’t cloth diapers harm the environment too?

A common critique of cloth diapers is that the amount of energy, water and cleaning products needed to clean them can have a negative impact on the environment. At our centres, we use high-efficiency machines to mitigate this, and the water usage is no greater than the average load of laundry. Overall, we feel confident that the benefits greatly outweigh the negative effects.

Will my child have their own cloth diapers?

We offer a range of different cloth diapers for all children at our centres. These diapers are reusable and will be provided for use between all children within the Nature Calls program. Each diaper is thoroughly sanitized in accordance to AHS guidelines.

Do I still bring disposable diapers and wipes?

We still ask families to bring their “at home” diapers, whether that be disposables or cloth. This ensures that we have diapers available to change your child into before they are picked up at the end of the day! Please still bring your own wipes and diaper creams, we have a few recommended cloth diaper creams that can be recommended as well!

What can cause rashes and how will they be looked after?

Great question, many people often think of rashes immediately when thinking of cloth diapers! Rashes can happen in both disposable and cloth diapers, either way we are on the lookout and will be placing special attention to anything that may occur. Rashes can be caused by material sensitivity, wetness sensitivity and poor fit. Our team is open to trying new and different ways to support your child so this does not occur, different materials and different styles may be one way to change their cloth diapering routine to avoid rashes.
